The Mayan belly massage is an ancient healing method from the Mayan traditions of Central America.

Dr. Rosita Arvigo was privileged to learn this technique from a traditional healer Don Elijio Panti and a traditional midwife Miss Hortense Robinson and used it to develop Abdominal Therapy.

This specialized form of non-invasive external massage helps to improve blood circulation and lymph flow, neural activity and the movement of life energy (Qi, Prana….) in the abdominal organs and thus improve the function of the organs. This is a significant issue in gynaecology.

This technique gently guides the abdominal and pelvic organs into their ideal position and thus alleviates a multitude of complaints.

How can Abdominal Therapy help?

If the uterus is not in its ideal position, this can lead to gynaecological problems. These can include myomas, fertility problems, lower back pain, endometriosis, painful and irregular periods, incontinence, PCO syndrome, menstrual problems or sexual difficulties.

Digestive complaints such as irritable bowel syndrome, indigestion or constipation can be alleviated with this therapy.

Castor oil packs, vaginal steam baths and herbal therapy are also helpful.

An as yet unfamiliar technique here. So far there are only a few therapists in Germany.

Vaginal Steam Baths

are part of Abdominal Therapy.

I can provide vaginal herbal steam baths in my practice.

Steam baths with herbs relax the pelvis and are used, amongst other things, in cases of frequent cystitis, in preparation for childbirth and vaginismus.

Dissolves scarring and adhesions in the pelvic area.

On request I offer meditation during the steam bath.
